Library Director

Justina is originally from Rockwell City, Iowa and got started working in their library back in 2009 for their current director, Denise. She has a BA in English Literature with minors in Business and Leadership from Wartburg College, where she worked in the college's academic library during her time there, becoming the manager of the Curriculum Library section. She has also worked part-time at the Hudson Public library, the Rockwell City Public Library again (she never really left, 2009-2015), and the Lake City Public Library before working full-time as the Programming Librarian at the Mitchellville Public Library. During the process of getting her Masters Degree online, she visited several smaller libraries around her hometown area to examine layouts, programs, policies, etc. and also worked a 120-hour practicum at the Bondurant Public Library while continuing her full-time work at Mitchellville. In 2016 she got her Masters of Library and Information Studies and in February of 2018, she started at the Earlham Public Library as the director. She currently lives in Des Moines with her husband Jason and cat Jason Voorhees or "Kitty Cat Jason".
